Splinter Bike 100% made out of wood

28/04/2011
First of all, the Splinter Bike is the story of an eco-friendly English DIYer, Michael Thompson.

After building a sustainable, Botswana inspired,  home "Eco-Shed" in Norflok (this is where the bike was developed),  in rammed earth and using inexpensive and abundant materials, for only 2.700 pounds.

This eco-inventor accepted a new challenge, create a bike made 100% in wood and set a speed record with it! No screws, just wood and glue for a total weight of 31kg.
