Nissan Leaf arrives in the Netherlands and England

After the first European deliveries late 2010 in Portugal, Holland and the UK have received their first units of the Nissan Leaf 

Netherlands, Amsterdam: last Wednesday, the company LeasePlan, the city of Amsterdam and BAM were handed the keys of the first 18 units of the Nissan Leaf. Within the next weeks 82 more models will arrive in Holland. 


These first 100 units are part of a pilot project between Nissan and the city of Amsterdam.

United Kingdom, Sunderland : on Thursday during an official event attended by the British Minister of business and Enterprise Mark Prisk, Nissan delivered the first UK Nissan Leaf to 14 people as part of Switch EV program. 


The Switch EV program, (North East of England) will allow 150 people to try several models of electric vehicles in order to get an idea of the different technologies available, and allow the manufacturers to have a maximum of feedbacks, corresponding to different needs and uses, on a small fleet of vehicles (49 vehicles I, total). The users will keep these vehicles 6 months before swapping
The first drivers of the program are: 
Five individuals, three private companies, three local authorities and finally three Nissan employees. 
15 other Nissan LEAF will be added to the Switch EV program in the coming weeks ...
