The Unicab uses the principle of Universal Design : be accessible to the widest possible range of mobility, passengers and drivers.
It’s a front wheel drive with a lowered floor and side entry.
The base version will be a high-occupancy vehicle (ie 7 seaters) with a low emission engine, Flex-fuel that could operate either biofuel mix or LPG.
By 2011 there will be full hybrid models with solar panels on the roof, brake energy regeneration and hydrogen fuel cell, including a “Boomerang” recharging hub.
The car includes:
A kneeling system lowering the car for easy access, removable front seats, wheelchair restraint tracks, slip resistant vinyl floor, two passenger fold-away middle seat.
