First tests of the Iguana 26

We had introduced you the Iguana 26 in December 2010, probably the first terrestrial (or extraterrestrial…) boat presented in world premiere at the 2010 Paris Nautic Show.

The boat is equipped with retractable tracks, a rolling system internationally patented.

Earlier this week, the Iguana 26 prototype made an important step that serves as validation of the technologies developed, with its first test and it floats and runs perfectly!

Born from the collaboration of the designer Anthony Fritsch, the naval architect Tanguy Le Bihan and the engineering firms CAR&D and SA2P this anti-tide boat can cross without difficulties beaches and shores....

At its launch planned by the end of the year, it will offer a classic outboard engine and a 300hp hybrid inboard, its earth propulsion is electric.

The first open water trials will take place in April so stay tuned.

You can find its specs here.
