Geneva 2011: VW Bulli the electric Combi

Unveiled today at the Geneva Motor Show, Bulli carries the original name of its ancestor, the Transporter from the 50’s (T1).

Shorter and wider than the T1, the new Bulli measures 3.99 m long, 1.75 m wide and 1.70 m high. It is equipped with a 85kW (114hp) electric motor that offers 270Nm of torque, while the big 40kWh battery pack allows a range up to 300km.

The new Bulli goes from 0 to 100 kph in 11.5 s and reaches a top speed of 140 kph.

Although it is only a concept for now, VW already said that fitting efficient gasoline and diesel engines of 1,0 and 1,4l capacity was also an option…
