(VIDEO) Planet Solar 133th day

As they are leaving the Galapagos islands to cross the Pacific let us make a little report on this extraordinary adventure, a world tour in a solar boat.

The Tûranor is already very impressive by its dimesions:
6 meters high, 31 meters long and 15meters large for a total weight of 95 tons.

The solar catamaran left Monaco 133 days ago and crossed the Atlantic with no problem.

In its January video, we follow the Planet Solar team in South America, through the Panama canal and towards the Galapagos.

While they getting ready for the big departure to cross the Pacific ocean, from the Galapagos to Brisbane, a 15000km journey, you can follow the team’s logbook here.
