Finally the return of the "5 series" at Peugeot. After the end of the production of the 505 in 1992 we thought the 5 gone forever actually replaced by the 4(07) and 6(07).


But Peugeot decided to launch the 508, a new segment declined in two silhouettes: a sedan (4,79 m) and an estate version SW (4,81 m).

Its lines are pleasant and elegant, innovation within the continuity. 

All the diesel engines HDI FAP are below 150g of CO² per km:

The Peugeot 508 is the first vehicle to be equipped with the e-HDi technology. Thanks to a new generation Stop&Start system emissions and consumption are reduced by 15 %

- 1.6 l e-HDi FAP 82 kW (112 hp), 270/285 Nm(1), 6 speed semi-automatic gearbox; CO2 : 109 g/km(2) 
- 1.6 l HDi FAP 82 kW (112 hp), 240/254 Nm(1), manual 5 speed gearbox; CO2 : 124 g/km
- 2.0 l HDi FAP 103 kW (140 hp), 320/340 Nm(1), manual 6 speed gearbox ; CO2 : 125 g/km
- 2.0 l HDi FAP 120 kW (163 hp), 340 Nm, automatic 6 speed gearbox; CO2 : 149 g/km(3)
- 2.2 l HDi FAP 150 kW (204 hp), 450 Nm, automatic 6 speed gearbox; CO2 : 150 g/km. This engine offers better performances than the V6 diesel that equips the 407…

Two gasoline versions out of three are under 150g of CO² per km:
- 1.6 l VTi 88 kW (120 hp) ; 160 Nm, 6 speed semi-automatic gearbox; CO2 : 144 g/km(3)
- 1.6 l THP 115 kW (156 hp) ; 240 Nm, manual 6 speed gearbox; CO2 : 149 g/km 
With the automatic gearbox, the 1.6 THP engine emits 164g/km

As for the HYbrid4 technology: HDi on the front wheels and an electric engine in the back, this technology allows a potential power of 147 kW (200 hp), four driving wheels and emissions from 99 g / km of CO² only. It will be available in 2012

To note a high-tech option the "WiFi on Board " box, to be able to connect from the vehicle.
