Smart Lightshine, only 86g of CO ² per km!

12/01/2011
This special edition for the United Kingdom is a good opportunity to make a small focus on Smart’s  diesel engine, the CDI 40kW.

One of Smart’s core value is to provide the cleanest engines, in example with its micro hybrid system “Mhd”.
With the 40kW CDI engine, a 800cc three cylinder which produces 54hp, Smart simply holds the emission record for a combustion engine.

Indeed, with 86g of CO ² per km nobody beats it, yet.

It leads our top green cars ranking (among the combustion cars)
Followed by the Polo Bluemotion diesel and its 87g .
And by Lexus’s new compact hybrid, the CT200h, and its 87g .

Recognizable thanks to its matt green color and its LED lights, this special edition which has just been announced for the United Kingdom is priced at 11405£, it allows to avoid the congestion charge with style, on the other hand only 86 copies are planned!

Otherwise you still have the classic Smart CDI 40kW… Starting under 12000€ in the Pure version
