Electric and hybrid cars for 2011

Here is a little guide on all the green cars that will be launched in Europe in 2011 as well as those available in 2010

2011 turns an important page in automobile history. This year manufacturers’s good intentions and beautiful words change into production models.

After the arrival of Peugeot Ion, and its cousin the Citroen C-Zero in 2010, the French auto industry will diversify its offer.

Here is the non exhaustive list of 2011 models

Electric cars

The arrival of Renault ZE models

The launch of Bolloré’s Bluecar

The Nissan Leaf which should arrive in Europe in 2011 at an unofficial price close to 30000€ 

And a German sports car who instigates my curiosity …

Range Extender vehicles

A green “sport-luxury” sedan the Fisker Karma whose American price just rose of $8000 at $95900 because of development costs. The beginning of the US sale should coincide with European one according to Fisker.

Hybrid cars

The hybridisation is widened to new models and vehicle type

-The development of an ActiveHybrid range at BMW (which will come to complete the not very green X6 and 7 Series ActiveHybrid models) with hybrid 3 and 5 Series.  But we may have to wait a little longer because nothing is confirmed at the moment, the 2011 Geneva Show should give us confirmations.
-The new Audi A6 in hybrid version 2011 or 2012

Arrival of the CO² emission champion, the Lexus CT200h

More sober and more efficient than the current VW Touareg hybrid and Porsche Cayenne hybrid:
