The Indian manufacturer has been developing its electric model based on the Indica Vista for several years.
Presented to the 2009 Geneva Show Tata had to achieve European standards to be released on our market
This electric version of the Indica Vista could thus arrive before the Nano (which date of launch in Europe is stil uncertain.)
In reaction to government grants announced yesterday
(and also because the Indian vehicle is right-hand drive) the electric Indica will be introduced at first in very small numbers in England next summer (12 units will be tested).
Indica Vista EV is an electric 4 seater that reaches a maximal speed of 114 kph for an autonomy of 177km.
Its price has not been revealed yet but knowing Tata’s affordability this car could become Europe’s cheapest electric 4 seater.
