IAA 2017 Honda Urban EV Concept, Honda goes for the retro look for its first electric vehicle

At the occasion of the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show IAA, Honda presents two new electrified vehicles an electric city car with a neo-retro look and a hybrid version of its SUV, the CR-V.

Honda Urban EV Concept

Concept that prefigures Honda’s first electric car, it inaugurates a new platform and will lead to a series model expected for 2019 in Europe! Let’s hope that they modify a minimum this city electric car as we find it simply perfect, absolutely cracking!

No info on its specs sheet but its bodybuilded look should go with a sporty powertrain, 10cm under the Jazz this supermini reminds the first generation of Civic. Welcoming 4 people with two benches for more conviviality and suicide doors to finish the look.
A screen between the headlights is used to display messages and communicate with the environment.

CR-V hybrid

While the Honda Jazz offers a hybrid version since 2010, the brand’s SUV also becomes hybrid!
The hybrid version of the CR-V is based on a 2.0l VTEC four-cylinder Atkinson cycle and two electric motors, one serves as a generator and the other for the propulsion, it is expected in showrooms from 2018!
