The first electric Jaguar is an SUV - Jaguar E-Pace

Jaguar which had already presented plug-in hybrid prototypes of its XJ (XJ-e in 2011) chose the segment most recently undertaken by the brand with its latest vehicle and spearhead, the F-Pace SUV to launch the commercialization of its first electric vehicle!

The information comes directly from England, one of the UK's references From joint developments with Land Rover (see the Range Rover diesel hybrid SDV6 - PHEV) it is this time Jaguar that scoops the 100% electric vehicle with a launch announced for 2018!

Smaller than the F-Pace the E-Pace will be more compact, based on the Evoque and performance oriented!

Specs of the E-Pace

According to preliminary data of the prototype, we should find a 70kWh battery for 450km of autonomy, real four-wheel drive, the front motor develops about 114hp and 195hp at the rear for a total output of more than 300hp!
The E-Pace will rely on the development of Jaguar in Formula E, the main target of this electric SUV will be the United States, it is therefore unlikely to see it at one of our upcoming European Exhibitions like 2016 Paris Motor Show for instance, on the other hand why not the LA Auto Show in November!
