On the occasion of the Frankfurt Motor Show 2015 Citroën introduced its Cactus M, a mix between the Cactus and the Mehari and a few days before we announced that Citroën had also patented the name e-Mehari.. It is ultimately for the COP21 that this e-Mehari should be presented!

Indeed, Citroen teases since last week a new electric vehicle on the social medias with the hashtag #electronlibre ... To recall an agreement was signed between Bolloré and PSA in June on the production and marketing of the BlueSummer, a summer and convertible version of the BlueCar with a production volume fixed at 3500 units per year!

After the C-Zero, Citroën could again rebadge an electric vehicle with some modifications in design including front lights as seen on the teaser below.

The Bolloré BlueSummer was originally presented in late 2013, it uses the powertrain of the BlueCar and obviously Bolloré’s Metal Polymer batteries, it is a 4-seater electric car with a 50kW motor to reach 130kph and offer up to '250km of range in urban cycle with a trunk of 350l.

The official reveal of this new electric Citroën is scheduled for December 7th with a launch already announced for March 2016!
