(VIDEO) Peugeot Fractal, a 100% electric hardtop convertible

01/09/2015

Yesterday we revealed the first images of Peugeot's Fractal concept-car that will be presented by the brand at the 2015 Frankfurt IAA, and surprise, it is not a plug-in hybrid but a 100% electric!

Indeed after presenting a radical Peugeot 308R-Hybrid in Shanghai, Peugeot now turns towards the all electric powertrain with this Fractal roadster!

This concept-car that could therefore set the tone for the next CC range (208CC and 308CC) continues the demonstration of power, but more moderated, the concept Fractal has two 75kW electric motors, one on each axle for a total output of 204ch for 4 wheel drive and steering but especially in a handkerchief as the Peugeot Fractal measures only 3.81m!

About weight Peugeot manages to remain under 1000kg - impressive for a 100% electric - allowing to go from 0 to 100kph in 6.8secondes with a range of 450km thanks to the lithium-ion battery positioned in the center tunnel !!
To end its specs sheets the Fractal features inductive charging

For the fun but also safety Fractal has two sound identities inside and outside - we presented the ZZ EV put in music by Roland, this is here a sound designer Amon Tobin who developed the soundtrack of the Fractal!

No launch date for now (at least before 2020 ...) but to a strong sign that the brand in thinking about all electric vehicles!
