Volkswagen continues its variants of the GTE powertrain and features it in a concept car that foreshadows the return of high-end VW models thanks to the strong demand of the Chinese market. The C Coupe GTE is placed in terms of dimensions (5.07m long) well above the Passat and could be a modern interpretation of the Phaeton experience!
This concept which should not lead to a series model before 2017 is equipped with a petrol hybrid engine combining a 4-cylinder and an electric motor for a total output of 245hp and 500nm, a 50km range in electric only and consumption in NEDC of 2.3l per 100km!
