(VIDEO) Audi prologue the future of Avant with a heart of Q7 e-tron Quattro


After the Prologue concept in Los Angeles, the Geneva Motor Show will reveal a little more of Audi’s intentions with this concept Audi prologue Avant that reveals the "new philosophy Avant" and provides an overview of the Q7 e-tron Quattro powertrain expected for summer 2015!

The new Avant

With its long roof that reminds the Sportbacks, Audi puts on the center of the stage its Avant modelname, this Prologue Avant concept seems to merge with the label Sportback, less estate and more shooting break!

Plug-in hybrid diesel e-tron Quattro

At the heart of this concept Audi Prologue Avant we discover a plug-in hybrid diesel - a tuned version of the one that will power the Q7 e-tron Quattro.

Giving an overview of this new engine the Audi Prologue Avant combines a 353hp 3.0TDI engine with a 100kW electric motor integrated in the 8-speed tiptronic gearbox, the combination offers 455hp and 700nm of torque with four-wheel drive.

The NEDC consumption is announced at 1.6l per 100km for emissions of just 43g / km, the 14.1kWh battery allows 54km in electric only!

Here is an engine that will fit pretty well in the Q7!
