Apple's Titan project, an autonomous electric car

15/02/2015

Several US newspapers like the LA Times and the Wall Street Journal are announcing a news that could change the growing market of electric cars and accelerate the development of autonomous vehicles with the arrival of a product designed by Apple.

Project Titan, Apple’s electric car

A team of “100s” people has been setup for this project with some big names of the automotive industry:

The project leader is none other than a former Ford engineer Steve Zadesky, Apple’s vice president of design, but the company also hired a former Mercedes exec last September.
According to initial reports it could be an autonomous electric minivan.

"Apple is interested in all the potential ways you can evolve the car; that includes autonomous driving." - A Reuters source

A meeting with Magan Steyr in Austria would have also been recently organized!

Reuters contacted Apple and Magna Steyr but no one wants to comment...

Long regarded as a rumor that iCar could emerge soon, following Google’s autonomous vehicle and wanting to compete with the Tesla Model S that became autonomous since the end of last year!

We will keep posted on this project!
