(VIDEO) Electric speed record: 0 to 100 kph in 1.785 seconds!

Here is the record set by the electric car of the Swiss university ETH, Zurich’s Polytechnic School in partnership with the PH of Luzern.

Called Grimsel, the electric car reached 100kph in 1.785 seconds and over a distance of 30 meters on the Dübendorf airfield, what cervical heckle!

With its karting dimensions the Grimsel has 200hp and weighs 168kg! Its aerodynamic features are almost as large as the vehicle - oversized tail and spoiler.

Grimsel is equipped with 4 in-wheel motors that offer a combined 200hp but above all 1630nm of torque with a distribution individually managed by each wheel!

The Grimsel has been developed as part of the Formula Student championship, that as no less than 500 teams!

We remember the previous records set by the Peugeot EX1 in 2010 with the 0 to 100kph in 3.58 seconds, which makes the Swiss record of these students even more eloquent!

About a race between Grimsel and a Formula E!?
