Peugeot going premium with the Exalt HEV sedan

The Exalt concept was originally introduced by Peugeot on the Beijing Auto Show in April 2014, for the Paris Auto Show, Peugeot further tunes its concept.

Presented in preview on the first Concours d'Elegance of Chantilly, this 2014 Peugeot Exalt takes on the Onyx Concept with the use a materials such as steel on the front and shark skin at the back, an efficient textile that optimizes the drag coefficient: 0.6 SCx

Dynamic and polyvalent with 5 doors and truunk with "pantograph" opening the Exalt is a proposition of high-end sedan that could stand above the 508, like Audi's sportbacks for example.

For the interior Peugeot teamed-up with the designer JAY AHR for a modern and elegant trim.

Its powertrain remains the same however, a 340hp HYbrid4 petrol engine for a total weight of 1700kg.

The power of its 1.6THP four cylinder reaches an impressive 270hp - thanks to Peugeot Sport, and the 50kW electric motor is placed on the rear axle!

Fun - even if already seen in the i8 Spider - the concept receives electric scooters Hybrid-Kick under the trunk floor.
