(VIDEO) Bonneville Speedweek: 434kph with a car and 387kph on a motorbike

While the Bonneville Speedweek was disrupted by floods, two electric vehicles achieved some records, the Venturi VBB-3 and the KillaJoule

For the Venturi VBB-3, despite a track shortened by a third Venturi’s record electric car managed to set a record in its class EV over 3.5 tonnes. However, the team is still far from the target that was set at 400mph (643kph), but was able to test the machine in real conditions with a 212mph average speed and 270mph in peak (434,5kph). The record of 2010: 495kph with the VBB-2.5 therefore still remains, at least until next year!

The other and less expected is the KillaJoule basically known from the Dragster tracks, this electric motorcycle broke the speed record for an electric motorcycle reaching speeds of 240.72mph or 387.33kph becoming the fastest electric motorcycle and fastest 3-wheeler all engine types combined.

Also note that the pilot is a woman Eva Hakansson also designer and owner of the KillaJoule: a total weight of 700kg driver included and a 500hp peak power
