(VIDEO) Future Electric, a 350kph electric motorcycle

Today we discover a new project of race electric motorcycle, the Danish Future Electric along with a new Championship called Moto E.

The team Future Electric is developing an electric racebike to enter the FIM eRoadRacing Championship but also a new Championship called Moto E to which they have been invited!

Moto E is a European Championship that will take place in 5 stages over 4 countries, teams of 7 country have apparently already registered! More informations to come at the official launch of the event planned for the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 45 days.

Behind Future Electric we find few Danish companies and the Aalborg Univeristy that is working on a new technology of motor called CIPED (Compact Intelligent Powerful Electric Drivetrain).

Their initiative is supported by the consortium Insero e-mobility that also helps Ecomove.

Their bike is called FE R2014, it offers two gear ratios, short and long for maximum speeds of 280 and 350kph respectively! 
With 200hp and 180kg, the 0 to 100kph is lited in 2.5 seconds only, let’s see how it will do on the track!
