After the Qoros eBIQE, Kia also reveals electric bikes on the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, the KEB City and KEB MTB (Kia Electric Bike).
This is the Dutch branch of the brand that has decided to propose two pedelecs, a version city and all terrain and the Korean R&D team developed the bikes.
After two design urban bike presented in November 2012 and sold in Korea since, KVélo Speed and KVélo City
, those two electric bikes do not seem to be concepts but rather pre-production versions designed for a large public.
They offer the same specs a 250Watt motor placed in the rear wheel developing 45Nm of torque while the 36V and 10Amp battery displays 40km range for a recharge in 4hours.
Innovative in design and production, Kia Electric Bikes are produced in Korea and assembled in Germany with automotive techniques, a monocoque frame hydroformed and tubes welded by robots.
The KEBs weigh 20kg and meet the European standard for electric bikes, they will probably be available quickly after in Korea, like the KVélos.
