Audi just announced a concept-car for the 2014 Detroit Auto Show that will open its doors in January, a crossover concept adopting shooting brake codes with two doors and a high ground clearance.
With 4.2m long it fits in the range of compact cars (3.95m for the Audi A1 and 4.38m for the Q3) and should bear the name of Audi Q2.
We find the sharp headlights of the brand’s last concepts and vehicles with the "single-frame" grille that recalls the A7.
No details on its powertrain yet but an e-tron Quattro technology is announced - as already presented in a prototype (A5 e-tron quattro
), and a design that uses the codes of the Sport Quattro
For the record, Audi has officially launched its first e-tron series model, the A3 Sportback e- tron, a gasoline plug-in hybrid and also has a four-wheel-drive hybrid technology, the Q2 e-tron quattro would be the perfect demonstrator of these technologies in a compact and definitely urban size !
