After a trend of rather consensual models, Volvo is back in the segment of sports and passion cars with a coupe concept inspired by the famous P1800, but obviously modernized featuring a plug-in hybrid gasoline engine that delivers 400hp and 600nm of torque!
Following teasers that unveiled the front-end of the car without specifying the manufacturer, Volvo has created a stir by announcing a plug-in hybrid concept Coupé that reconciles the brand with passion - while retaining its appeal to technology and more precisely efficiency, in short the Volvo Concept Coupé makes the link between the past and the future of Volvo and will certainly delight fans of the brand.
The brand takes advantage of the new platform SPA Scalable Product Architecture to present a new powertrain, the engine is a 2.0l Drive-e 4 cylinder from the VAE range (new technology i-ART recently unveiled) equipped with a supercharger and turbo, combined with an electric motor, the combined output is listed at 400hp on the rear axle only!
