Mercedes S500 plug-in official figures - emissions from 69g/km!


It was announced for Frankfurt, Mercedes has revealed the official specs sheet of the car, this PHEV S-Class is the greenest ever sold by the brand and offers emissions from 69g/km.


The S500 Plug-in receives a 3.0l V6 developing 245kW for 480Nm, it is coupled to a 80kW and 340Nm electric motor!

The combination of the two provides an average consumption of 3l per 100km but also an all electric range of 30km.
About the performances, the maximum speed is set at 250kph for a 0 to 100kph in 5.5 seconds.

Four driving modes are available Hybrid // E-mode // E-save // Load

This S500 Plug-in is Daimler’s most advanced demonstrator and the first plug-in hybrid to be sold by the brand, moreover the car is based on the new hybrid modular platform that should also be fitted in other models.

In the S Class range this version crowns the electrified models, after the S400 Hybrid and S300 BlueTEC HYBRID - it will have its world premiere at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show.
