New Honda Jazz Hybrid more power and emissions at just 70g/km!

During our test of the Toyota Yaris Hybrid, we compared it to another compact hybrid, its most direct competitor, the Honda Jazz hybrid that was a little behind due to its age, with the new Jazz hybrid Honda strikes back, new design, new powertrain and gearbox.

Presented in Japan, this new Jazz takes a significant advance, more versatile than the Yaris, still in the urban MPV format, a consumption of barely 2.75l/100km and emissions announced at only 70g/km, an emission level reserved until then to plug-in hybrids!

The 2014 Jazz Hybrid that should be presented in Europe soon adopts a more aggressive design, the 1.5liter 4-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine now goes from combined 98hp to 135hp (new powertrain called i-DCD), while the CVT gearbox is abandoned in favor of a new seven-speed double clutch "Sport Hybrid" transmission contributing to the good environmental performance of the car.
