New Golf 7 TDi BlueMotion 3.2l per 100km and 85g/km!

The BlueMotion TDI version of the Golf 7 has just been officially revealed and its specs are close to those of hybrids or more compact diesel cars, in short it is leading its class!

Some figures of the Golf 7 TDI BlueMotion first

Its drag coefficient is optimized to 0.27: front and rear spoilers, side skirts, body height lowered by 15mm and specific radiator grille specific to the BlueMotion range.

Therefore the car has an average fuel consumption of 3.2l/100km for emissions of 85g/km!

This would allow a theoretical range greater than 1500km from its 50liters tank.

To achieve these figures, the car receives a re-staged six speed gearbox, a start/stop system and low rolling resistance tires.

The four cylinder 1.6l engine develops 110hp and 250Nm from 1500rpms

Definitely German, efficiency does not come at the expense of performance since the 0 to 100kph takes 10.5 seconds for a 200kph top speed.

The Golf VII TDI BlueMotion will be available from July in Comfortline and Trendline trim at a price that should be announced shortly.
