We had the opportunity to talk about Polaris Industries a few times: for their Ranger EV electric buggy, for the acquisition of Goupil, the launch of their brand of electric bicycle and also their stake in Brammo...
The list was already long and the group’s dynamism no longer to prove, but they just officialized a new acquisition, the European leader of license-free cars. They acquired the 54% that belonged to AXA Private Equity, before formalizing the rest of the buy-out, shares from Dentressangle initiatives, Aixam’s management and the Investment Fund Euromezzanine.

This acquisition gives birth to the business unit Aixam-Mega-Goupil which will be supervised by the current CEO of Aixam Mega, Philppe Colançon under the responsibility of Matt Homan.
Aixam forces are a dynamic market - especially compared to the automobile in general - with sales up by 3.9% last year, but also its network of more than 400 dealers over Europe!
For the record Aixam offers electric versions of its licence-free cars, a division that could benefit from the synergies that the Polaris Industries Group can offer! Seeing further
we can also dream of a comeback of Mega’s crazy supercars in eco versions!
