Following the launch of the service in the Yvelines, greater Paris region, under the name Twizy Way, Renault is just about to launch a car-sharing service with Twizys in Germany, Ruhr.
This test project will be implemented as soon as this weekend with 5 vehicles in the cities of Essen, Bottrop and then Bochum a month later, improving mobility offer in those cities distant of only fifteen kilometers.
The registration to the service will cost € 9.90 with 20km included, then the rent will cost € 2 per hour.
This announcement is surfing on the wave of electric car-sharing and Renault walks in the footsteps / flowerbeds of
Daimler with their service Car2Go available with electric or combustion models depending on the city.
Ruhrauto-E seems to be the name given to the test program.
