(VIDEO) 12 hours of Sebring 2013: Audi dominates, unlucky DeltaWing, engine failure and white smoke!

The first ALMS race took place this weekend, a warm-up that sets the tone for the coming races, especially regarding the highly anticipated Toyota - Audi duel and also the (new) beginning for DeltaWing which is now running in solo (without Nissan).

While the race debut of the 2013 Toyota TS030 are expected in Silverstone with the FIA WEC (first tests already began on the Circuit Paul Ricard), Audi has put some pressure in Sebring signing a new lap record in qualifying and putting both R18 e-tron on the first two steps of the podium!

Less chance for DeltaWing Racing Cars, beside a race against the clock that started just one month ago: new engine (Mazda), new tires (Bridgestone)... After a long week the car was performing well with just an injector problem in warm-ups, however, during the race, white smoke and flames came out of the car, probably an engine failure, forcing the car to stop, here it is in video with an interview of David Price highly disappointed.

In addition, as we announced recently a coupe version of the DeltaWing was also presented in Sebring and its first trials could take place as early as Laguna Seca.
