The Volkswagen XL1 plug-in hybrid that boasts a record consumption of 0.9 liters per 100 kms will be sold in small numbers before the end of the year. An opportunity to take a closer look to the specs of this technological masterpiece.
It is the dream of every driver, the Volkswagen XL1 burns nearly no gas, is environmentally friendly, efficient, and features an avant-garde design. Launch is only a few months away: the German manufacturer has announced its official reveal at the next Geneva Motor Show to be held in March with a landing in showrooms before year-end!
Unfortunately you may have to be patient as Volkswagen says it will be manufactured in "small batch."

is simply incredible, so much so that we wonder at what price this series technology demonstrator will be sold… It announces an average consumption under 1 liter per 100km, a two-cylinder diesel engine of 800 cm3 developing 48 hp and 120 Nm is combined to a 27 hp and 100 Nm electric motor.
Despite its DSG dual clutch 7-speed gearbox and batteries, the weight of the car would be kept under for a Cd of 0.186 only! Max speed is therefore announced at 158kph and 0 to 100kph in 11.9 seconds.
