Audi A6 Sportback e-tron plug-in: leak or hoax

Here is the leak of the day, a plug-in hybrid concept-car by Audi expected for the Frankfurt Motor Show - starting in September, a little early for indiscretions to come already on the web but we never know...

This concept would be fitted with a 4-wheel drive transmission and 400hp from a 2.0l petrol four-cylinder (derived from the S3, please) combined with an electric motor for a 0 to 100kph announced in less than 5 seconds and a fuel consumption of 2.5l/100km!

About the battery it would allow a range of 75 to 100km in electric-only...

A petrol plug-in hybrid as seen in the Audi A6 e-tron presented in Beijing for example or the concept Crosslane with its three cylinder at the Paris Auto Show...

That is it for the specs sheet, then, let’s talk about the design and the uncanny resemblance with the concept Citroen Number 9 or DS9 from the lines to the color...

The release is supposingly planned for 2017 at a price around € 70,000 in a market of plug-in hybrid estates represented by the Volvo V60 Plug-in, Peugeot 508RXH or Citroën DS5 HYbrid4.
