(VIDEO) Electric Fiat 500 from 1970

While the production version of the electric Fiat 500 is expected at the 2012 LA Auto Show, in our (never-ending) researches on the internet we found a crazy-converter to which we will soon devote a full article.

The DOC EV as we nicknamed him in the office has made many conversions of vehicles including a legendary Fiat 500, a 1970 model, that gets a punchy makeover...

Indeed, in this version by fleck-machines, the electric motor develops 35kW in peak allowing it to easily reach 140kph (115kph originally) and nice little detail, the car becomes back-wheel drive...

To optimize the battery life, the three-speed gearbox has been retained (without clutch) and the electric 500 also receives an energy regeneration technology.

The speed is limited 100kph for obvious reasons of safety and the range is announced between 80 and 100km thanks to Lithium batteries, the weight of the vehicle is unknown.
