(VIDEO) Concept Lexus LF-CC: first pictures and specs sheet (300h)
Update of yesterday's article with a video
More than just a concept-car which foreshadows a D-segment coupe for the brand, the LF-CC inaugurates a new hybrid powertrain for Europe, between the CT200h and the 450h of the RX and GS.
This powertrain combines a 2.5l four-cylinder Atkinson cycle petrol engine with the D-4S direct injection and an electric motor, an engine already available in the United States with the ES300h since mid-year.
This new hybrid engine will develop 2hp per gram of CO2 and, with less than 100g/km announced, it should offer close to 200hp like in the ES.
On the design side the LF-CC features the new Lexus grille and incorporates the lines of the LF-LC concept, it announces the arrival of a premium hybrid coupe in the near future, a back-wheel drive sporty vehicle.
The LF-CC will have its world premiere on Lexus’ booth at the 2012 Paris Auto Show.
The 2.5l hybrid powertrain will be offered in other vehicles of the range.
