The first sentence of the press release sets the tone. To continue the Golf success story that started in 1974 and after 29.13 million cars sold! Volkswagen innovates and focuses on efficiency with petrol and diesel engines with outstanding environmental performance.

After the first pictures of the Golf 7 in preview here is some more information.


As we announced the Golf 7 BlueMotion will offer emissions of 85g/km for consumption of just 3.2l/100km (73.5mpg), impressive for a compact car from the C-segment

It will also receive the 140hp TSI engine (gasoline) with cylinder deactivation that already equips the Polo BlueGT and is announced with a consumption of 4.8l/100km (49mpg).


All the models will be equipped with Start / Stop as standard with a power ranging from 85 and 150hp and prices from €16975 for the 85hp 1.2l TSI (with 5 speed manual gearbox) to €28825 for the 150hp 2.0l TDI (with DSG6 gearbox).
