(VIDEO) TTXGP EURO: competitors crashing to catch Himmelman!

After winning last year’s TTXGP season FIM e-Power’s first race in April Muench Racing’s supremacy is finally disputed!

The European TTXGP opened this weekend, on the grid 5 bikes, one Muench Racing, two Zongshen and two Mavizen TTX02 with Linden Racing and the Team Fiver.

The 2012 TTXGP electric motorbike Championship started two weeks ago in the U.S. with a battle for the title between two manufacturers Zero Motorcycles and Brammo but also an independent who is not in his first attempt, Lightning Motorcycles . In this game Zero gets ahead with three bikes on the podium at Infineon.

Going back to our European Championship which took place in Falkenbergs Motorbana, Sweden, Himmelman is challenged by a machine and a man packed with some (good) energy HoiChiFung on the Zongshen is determined, very determined, too much… and ends-up in the gravel.

“I found that the track was very easy to learn. I haven’t had a chance to get any real practice session in before the season so on my free practice session I decided to push the bike to its limit. Unfortunately, I pushed too hard and ended up sliding the bike as I entered a corner. For some time I thought that I was pulling away for the Germans, but it turned out that they were just too quick and managed to close the gap.”

But the result speaks for itself, HoChiFung is only 1.095seconds from Himmelman. The Swedish teams Linden and Fiver, are quickly back at the pits for some setup.

The results presented are those of the qualifying round, those of the race will arrive in the evening, but interviewed about his pursuer, Himmelman announced that he planned to widen the gap!
