Great Wall Haval-E, a plug-in hybrid SUV designed for a global launch?

While all Europeans manufacturers eye the Chinese market, Chinese manufacturers in turn do not hide their international ambitions, here is a good example with this hybrid SUV, the Haval-e.

This is an adaptation of the brand’s bestselling SUV the Haval that receives in this interpretation a plug-in hybrid powertrain.

With its 4.39 m, its design has nothing to envy the American or European standards, with a little twist (which will certainly not remain on the series version) the scissor doors.

Hybrid gasoline-, this crossover hides two engines under its bonnet. The ICE is a turbocharged 1.3l four-cylinder that develops 148hp and 220 Nm of torque while the electric motor offers an additional 94hp for 270 nm! In combined mode, the SUV announces 242hp and 490 Nm of torque!

In all electric mode (130kph vmax) its range is announced at 80km while a dual clutch 6 speed transmission handles the power.

No release date has been announced yet, but given its technical and aesthetic features, this model will presumably cross the Chinese borders…
