(VIDEO) Beijing 2012: Audi A6 L e-tron, a plug-in hybrid sedan for the Chinese market

E-tron is the name of Audi’s electrified range of vehicles, whether full electric like the R8 and A3 e-tron, extended-range such as the A1 e-tron or plug-in hybrid as the A3 e-tron concept and now the A6 L e-tron.

This is therefore the second time that Audi presents parallel hybrid model, the first time in a large sedan, and the result is interesting.

Fitted with a 2.0 TFSI gasoline engine developing 211hp coupled to a 95hp electric motor, this 5.02 meters sedan announces a 80km range (at a constant speed of 60kph) thanks to its battery (liquid cooled) placed at the rear of the vehicle.

The Audi A6 L e-tron receives a special grille, 21-inch wheels and LED headlights that are now one of the brand’s hallmarks.
