(VIDEO) VW e-Bugster: the 2-seater Beetle goes topless for the Beijing Auto Show

Presented at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year, VW offers the e-Bugster in Asian premier at the 2012 Beijing Motor Show. For this occasion, the concept of electric speedster goes topless.

Its specifications remain unchanged with a desire to offer a (relatively) sporty vehicle. Thanks to its 85kW (115hp) engine, 0 to 100kph takes 10.8 while the 28.3kWh Lithium Ion battery provides a range of 180km. The vehicle accepts fast charging for a recharge in 35 minutes.

With its LED headlights and day lights (inserted in the bumpers), its 20-inch wheels, the e-Bugster is a pure designer product. They imagined the e-Bugster in phase, and ahead of its time, with a widescreen infotainment system, and when you press the start button, the car welcomes you with a real lighting show!
