Roding Roadster, also in electric and by Siemens!

This German sports-car under development for 5 years will be presented at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

While the petrol version is teased in the press for several weeks, Roding has just announced an electric version developed with Siemens.

For the record Siemens has been working on electric vehicles with RUF (996, 997 and Cayenne) and even an electrified OCC chopper !!

Two in-wheel motors are placed on the back wheels and offer a total output of 126kW (171hp) and 1000Nm continuous for 326hp and 2500Nm in peak!
Its braking system is fully electric.

This version is unlikely to be revealed in Geneva but soon in the "Olympic Hall" in Munich according to Roding.

Powered by a 19.4kWh Lithium Ion battery pack the Roding by Siemens weighs 1125kg  (950kg for the petrol version), thanks to a carbon fiber reinforced plastic structure (CFRP) as the future BMWi, its autonomy remains unknown.
