Live from Detroit 2012, photo gallery n°2 : Toyota, Lexus, Bmw, Ford

After a first series of vehicles this morning, here is a second selection of NAIAS vehicles.

On Toyota’s booth we could discover the NS4 concept that previews the next generation of hybrid vehicles, a glimpse at the next Prius… But also two cars that have been revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show, making their North American debut, the Toyota Aqua, an hybrid compact car, and the FCV-R a concept of fuel-cell vehicle.

The magnificent concept Lexus LF-LC -that announces the arrival of an hybrid sport coupe in the coming years- doesn’t disappoint, “au contraire” it makes us impatient to discover its specs sheet and availability…

For BMW, Detroit is rather quiet in terms of novelties –but very strategic- with the reveal of the BMW ActiveHybrid3 a sporty hybrid sedan designed for the US and using the same powertrain as the ActiveHybrid5 . The Concepts i3 and i8 are also exhibited.

Presented under the name of Ford Fusion in the US, this model paves the way for a increased globalization of Ford’s models, as it will be sold in Europe under the name Mondeo for the first time. This model will be offered with EcoBoost, hybrid and plug-in hybrid engines.
