Mahindra Verito electric, the Indian electric Dacia Logan

After the U.S. company EMC Motors also offering electric Dacia, the Indian manufacturer Mahindra reveals an electric car based on the Dacia Logan, this time with a strong potential for mass production.
The Mahindra Verito is a rebadged Dacia Logan, sold since April 2011 in India in petrol and diesel version, on the occasion of the 2012 New Delhi Auto Expo, Mahindra presented an electric version of the Verito. Designed presumably for urban areas, its performances are not outstanding (but its price will probably be in accordance)...


Its price hasn’t been disclosed but to give an indication, the petrol version fitted with a 1.4l MPFI is available from 482,000 Rupees, less than € 7,200 at today’s exchange rate.

Performances: its 29kW engine allows to achieve a 86kph max speed and while the lithium-ion battery confers a 100km range.
