(VIDEO) Audi presents the A3 e-tron in Los Angeles
After the e-tron Spyder, vehicles of the "e-tron" range are showing off in the US and especially in California.
This technology demonstrator based on an A3 Sportback will be presented at the Audi stand during the LA Auto Show. It keeps the specs of last April’s reveal, a 82hp electric motor developing 114hp in peak for 270Nm of torque.
Despite its low power for its size, the 0-100kph shows a respectable 11.2 seconds, the speed is limited at 145kph.
This demonstrator envisions powertrains that could be fitted in the next A3 -announced with the A3 e-tron concept which was a plug-in hybrid.
Its 26.5kWh Lithium Ion battery pack is placed under the trunk in multiple blocks, it provides a range of 140km, the full charge takes 9 hours on the 230V
Compared to the version we knew it gets special two-tone wheels seen on the Audi A1 e-tron at the Challenge Bibendum in Berlin
