(VIDEO) Green classic, Ayrton & Perry 1881: the first electric car rebuilt

Electric vehicles now represent the future of mobility, this trend stir-up interest on their past… Some manufacturers and museums make us rediscover those vehicles that have always been part of the automotive scene, even before combustion engines existed.

After Porsche and their Semper Vivus (the first hybrid car), the Columbia Electric from 1899 sold during an auction and the Jamais Contente, here is one that presumably is the oldest electric cars, the Ayrton & Perry from 1881.

This unique vehicle has been recreated by the museum Autovision in Germany, a year of research and testing has been necessary for the rebuilt.
