(VIDEO) Test drives of the Tesla Model S Beta and reveal of the Sport version
This weekend took place the presentation of Tesla’s electric sedan second series of prototypes (called Beta) before the arrival of pre-production models soon.
Journalists and buyers had the opportunity to get in board the Model S, for a first look at the models that will arrive next year.
This weekend, several announcements were made:
-A sportier version with a 0 to 97kph (60mph) improved by more than a second or 4.5 seconds (instead of 5.6) that will be fitted the 85kWh battery pack.
The Model S will therefore be available with three types of batteries, then the sport version that will be available next year too, plus an optional aerodynamic package including special wheels, improving the range by 7% according to the first tests.
-Tesla’s founder, Elon Musk, also confirmed the reveal of the Model X by the end of the year before a launch in 2013.
