After the public reveal of the Up! at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Skoda has just unveiled its interpretation of the group’s new city car.
Dubbed Citigo it keeps the same proportions as its cousin, namely 3.56 long and 1.65 wide and 1.48 high, the 251liters trunk goes up to 951 liters with folded back seats.
At its launch, by the end of the year on the local market (we will have to wait next summer), it will be available with two 1 liter three-cylinder engines developing 60 and 75hp for fuel consumption and emissions of 4.2 l/100km for 97g and 4.3l/100km for 99g respectively for the GreenTec versions.
GreenTec? The launch of this car is apparently the timing chosen by the Czech brand, to tease the arrival of a new vehicle range, forget GreenLine that will likely be replaced by the name GreenTec inaugurated with this model.
Initially launched in three-door, the 5-door version will arrive in 2012, the Citigo will be more affordable than the Up! between 8000and 9000€
