Infiniti: hybrid Etherea and electric sedan based on Nissan Leaf in 2013?

Infiniti recently announced the release of three new vehicles over the next four years, in order to increase its presence in the United States but also internationally, with a target of 500,000 units by 2016.

And among the products disclosed, two hold our attention.

Presented at the Geneva Motor Show, the Etherea, the first front wheel-drive of the brand, will be the most compact of the Infiniti range and should, among others, offer an hybrid powertrain derived from the one of the M35h.

The series model planned 2013-2014 will use the lines envisioned by the Etherea concept-car, a premium compact designed to compete with the BMW 1 Series but especially the Lexus CT200h.

Regarding the electric model "EV" it will also be released in 2013 for a 2014 launch, designed on the basis of the Nissan Leaf, it will accommodate 5 people with a revised exterior and interior design.
