Electric bike: Opel Rad-e, the Rak-e little brother on two-wheels?

Opel launches on the two wheeler market with an electric bike called Rad-e, a model in the continuity of the Rak-e concept presented in Frankfurt 2011 and likely announcing a range of green and high-tech products for Opel.

Other manufacturers have introduced concepts of electric bicycle like Ford with the concept e-bike or Smart with the Smart e-bike that will be available from this year.

The Opel Rad-e is a 250W pedelec offering a range from 60 to 145km, it will be presented in Geneva in 2012 with intentions of production.

No price has been revealed yet but expect it to be very close to the one of the Smart e-bike announced at € 2900.
