Who said that the desire to innovate in France was dead, after H-Ker, here's a new project that emphasizes the competences of French engineering.

It took less than six months to a consortium of six companies (including Oreca) located in the “Pole de la Performance de Nevers Magny Cours”, a motorsport cluster, to build this technology demonstrator, a race car with series hybrid powertrain.

A light vehicle (990kg) capable of reaching 200kph, the electric motor develops 122hp and 220Nm in continuous for 227hp and 400Nm in peak, while the car offers 100km of range in race conditions.

Unfortunately, the battery capacity and the size of the fuel tank haven’t been revealed, they would have offered to get a clearer view on the energetic performance and efficiency of the 998cm3 three-cylinder engine used as a range-extender.

The Noao made its first laps (of course at Magny-Cours) in last December, here is the genesis of the project and an overview of its performances.
